Sara Dalmau is stirred by everything around her. She is imaginative and eclectic while spontaneous and sophisticated. She uses cosmetic brushes, such as those found in mascara or nail polish, to work with oils and varnishes just as she uses her fingers or conventional brushes. She imaginatively includes salts, sand, shells, lace and/or sheets of slate in a tender reverence to the most frivolous of artifice and the simplest aspects of nature.
